Indications and Usage
Pamidronate is FDA approved in combination with standard anticancer therapy to treat people who have bone damage caused by myeloma. It is also FDA approved to treat people who have hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), which may occur with some types of cancer.
Side effects needing medical attention
Fever; unusual tiredness or fatigue; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; coughing; swelling; injection site reactions (redness or swelling); nausea; abdominal cramping; diarrhea; constipation; headache; loss of appetite; vomiting.
