At the age of 23, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in early March of 2020. It was caught in stage 2. With this being my first sickness, I honestly did not know how to take it. I’ve never been sick, ever, and this was something new to me. I was honestly scared at the beginning of this new journey.
March 31 was the start of my first chemotherapy treatment. After completing 8 cycles of chemotherapy with no radiation, July 7 was my last day of chemotherapy. I was cured and cancer free. Ringing the bell that day and celebrating with the nurses and other patients was the best day of my life.
Without the love and support from my oncologist, family, boyfriend and friends and most importantly keeping faith with God I don’t know if I would have been able to get through this. I am thankful every day. I can proudly say I am A HODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA SURVIVOR!
