As a leading patient focused organization dedicated to saving lives, we watched in horror the images of George Floyd’s senseless killing last summer and the continued cycle of racial violence and injustice that has followed.  We are hopeful that today’s verdict is a first of many steps toward greater justice and equity for Black people and people of color. It is important to acknowledge and recognize the pain the Floyd family and others have endured, and the work that remains. We join in the clarion call for reforms and sustained actions to break down systemic racism and injustice in all its forms so that every American can thrive.
