Rye Brook, N.Y. (June 28, 2016) – Kathleen Meriwether, Americas Life Sciences Leader for Ernst & Young LLP’s (EY) Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services practice, has been elected to the national board of directors of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), effective July 1, 2016. Her term will run through June 30, 2019 and is subject to renewal.
Meriwether, specializes in assisting health sciences companies with global risks and compliance assessments and regulatory compliance analysis. She works closely with management teams, compliance officers and counsel to identify compliance and enforcement risks, determine potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions from business and operational perspectives.
EY is committed to building a better working world – and working to advance the goals of LLS is one way Meriwether is living that purpose. She will be joining EY colleagues, Rich Jeanerette and Ken Schwartz who currently serve on LLS’s board of directors.
Prior to joining EY, she served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
She previously spent more than 16 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company in a number of legal, regulatory affairs and compliance positions, including division counsel for the Oncology and Immunology franchise.
Meriwether studied economics at La Salle University and later went on to study law at Villanova University.
