White Plains, N.Y. (May 14, 2014) - Connie L. Lindsey, executive vice president and head of corporate social responsibility and global diversity & inclusion at Northern Trust, has been elected to the national board of directors of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), effective July 1, 2014. Her term will run through June 30, 2017.
Throughout the course of her 20-year Northern Trust career, she has held various leadership roles. Prior to assuming her role, she led the client servicing teams in the Public Entities and Institutions segment, serving public fund and not-for-profit clients. She is currently responsible for the design and implementation of the global corporate social responsibility and diversity and inclusion strategy for Northern Trust.
Lindsey is the national board president of the Girl Scouts of the USA, the highest-ranking volunteer of the organization. She provides guidance in policy, fundraising and leadership. Lindsey is a National Circle Leader for Vision 2020, a national project focused on advancing gender equality by energizing the dialogue about women and leadership.
Lindsey attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she majored in finance. In 2011 Lindsey was the first woman honored with the Spirit of Achievement Award by Loretto Hospital Foundation. The recognition established the Connie L. Lindsey, Cancer Resource Center at Loretto Hospital in Chicago.
