Education and Support for Patients, Parents and Caregivers

A cancer diagnosis turns the lives of young patients and their loved ones upside down.

Back to School Resources:

We provide free information, materials and programs for parents and educators that can help ease children back to school after an absence due to a cancer diagnosis.

Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program:

This peer-to-peer program gives you the opportunity to talk about your experiences one-on-one with someone who has “been through it,” including other patients, parents, caregivers or loved ones.

LLS Patient Community:

Join our online social network where you can share your experiences with other patients, parents and caregivers, stay current on the latest diagnosis and treatment news, and get personalized support from trained LLS staff.

Family Support Groups:

Local support groups are facilitated by healthcare professionals and provide a comfortable, caring environment where you can discuss anxieties and concerns with others who share the same experiences.

Online Chats:

Weekly online chats are moderated by an oncology social worker and give patients, parents and caregivers the opportunity to share information and provide support to one another in a structured, online setting. These chats are a convenient option if you are not able to attend a local support group.

Caregiver Support:

To help you care for a child or loved one, we provide a wide range of resources, information and support, including videos and a comprehensive caregiver workbook.
